Simple Ways to De-stress & Refresh

Being stressed and being busy go hand in hand. People with jam-packed schedules often find themselves stressed with no time to take a break and relax. De-stressing is easy and some tactics only takes a few minutes out of your busy day, and your body will thank you! Here are a few ways to unwind for those of you who are overwhelmed and overworked.

Yoga

If you have the time, yoga is a great way to de-stress. Yoga focuses on breathing and meditation which helps people let go of their stresses and worries. In addition, yoga has other health benefits such as relieving symptoms of asthma, back pain and arthritis while also benefiting the heart, and improving your mood, concentration and posture.

Have Some Fun

Do you have a certain hobby that helps you relax? Maybe you like listening to music, working out, reading or writing. Whatever your hobby is, take a quick break when you're feeling stressed to lose yourself in your hobby. Taking your mind off of stressful situations for even a short time will help refresh your mind and you'll feel better when it's time to get back to work.

Take a Walk

Getting outdoors is a fast and easy way to de-stress. Going for a quick walk outdoors is a physical, full body activity that will take your mind of off whatever is stressing you out. If you can't go for a walk outside, just get up from your desk and take a quick walk down the hallway. Being away from your desk physically will help you get away from the demands of your day.

Give 10 Minutes to Yourself

End your busy day by simply giving yourself 10 minutes before bed to relax. Don't use this time to go on the computer or watch TV, but try sipping a hot cup of tea or reading a magazine before bed. This is your chance to clear your mind before you go to sleep so you aren't thinking about how crazy the day was while you're trying to fall asleep.

Everyone needs to de-stress and refresh every once in a while. When you start to feel overwhelmed you might want to keep working, but remember that overworking your brain is not always a good thing and it's natural to need a break!

22 Ways to Go Green on Earth Day

This Sunday is Earth Day which means it is time to spread awareness about how to be more eco-friendly. There are many quick and easy things you can do to reduce your waste, keep the air clean and preserve the environment that won’t change your lifestyle. Check out this list of 22 things you can do this April 22 to become more environmentally friendly.

  1. Switch your light bulbs over to CFLs

  2. If you’re buying a new appliance, make sure it has the Energy Star label

  3. Stop using disposable bags. Invest in a few reusable bags for your groceries and other shopping

  4. Wash your laundry in cold water instead of hot water

  5. Combine all of your errands in to one trip, and bike to your destination if it’s less than 2 miles

  6. Completely shut down your computer at night

  7. Try signing up for online bill pay- not only will you save paper, but you won’t need to spare the stamp!

  8. Fix any leaky faucets in your house

  9. When it’s nice outside, line-dry your clothes instead of putting them in the dryer

  10. Unplug unused appliances and phone chargers

  11. Invest in a rain barrel to collect water to water your plants instead of using the hose

  12. Use cloth napkins instead of paper napkins

  13. Donate any unwanted items to thrift stores instead of throwing them away- your trash is another person’s treasure!

  14. Make five minute showers your goal

  15. Use re-useable coffee cups and water bottles

  16. Repurpose glass jars for things like spices or other canned goods

Dental Equipment Leasing Opportunities

One of the most important goals of dental professionals is to make patients feel as comfortable and relaxed as possible, and equipment leasing is one of the best ways to do this. Through updated equipment and comfortable office furniture, you can update your dental practice into a calming, serene setting. From the waiting room to the exam chair, you can procure the stylish furniture and the most modern medical technology without tying up your cash and resources.

With dental equipment leasing, you can create a flexible financing program that will allow your office to obtain the equipment and supplies it needs. From Oral & Maxillofacial Surgery and Orthodontics to Pediatric Dentistry and Sedation Dentistry, the options are endless. When leasing dental equipment, you won't have to worry about the large amount of debt purchasing leaves behind and you aren't tied to equipment. Your reputation and your patients' health will benefit from keeping your dental equipment up to date.

Just a few of the dental pieces available to rent are dental chairs, examining room equipment, dental x-ray machines, lab equipment for dentistry and office storage and cabinetry. Be sure to take the time to find the right dental equipment leasing plan for your business. Leasing offers many advantages for both your practice and your patients, so consider dental equipment leasing the next time it's time to buy or upgrade your equipment.
